Jul 4, 2008 Juniper Credit Card Services complaint by Eldavis |

I wish I had looked at this site before I got my Juniper card. I was on a hardship program and paid the requested payment ontime every month. Last month, my payment did not go through, either I didn't hit submit because it never showed on my bank statement. So I went online to look at the statement and to my amazement, I was being charged for a over limit charge for the past 8 months, plus the interest rate had gone up without any notification to me. I called them on a Saturday, and someone answered and after looking at the account the agent said let me transfer you to someone who can help you. The phone started ringing and finally a voice message came on and said you have called CCSS of Delaware please leave a message and we will return your call in 24 hours. OK, I did, but I got onto the internet and found that the company was a Consumer Credit Service. They did call me back and I explained to the lady what was going on. She replied you don't need to talk to us, Juniper is always sending calls to us that are unnecessary. She said after what I have told her, that I need to call Juniper and speak with a supervisor. I did and the Juniper agent said why do you need to talk to a supervisor I told the story. Well he transferred me somewhere. When the agent came on the phone, I was surprised that she knew what my story was. I told her that I was on a program, she said yes you were but it expired and your card was still over the limit. I told her that it right at the limit and if I had been notified that I could have brought it down and Juniper has been charging me $25.00 per month plus higher interest and $20.00 per month was not going to cover that. She said OK, she could put me on another program if I pay $80.00 per month for 9 months. I then said OK, but I want all 8 months of the $25.00 per month charges overlimit charges removed. I had to keep onto her to get her to say yes that she agreed to remove those charges. This just happened, so I'm giving them until Wednesday, July 9th, 2008 (1 week) to accommodate my request. I have also written a letter confirming the request. We shall see. The lady at the credit consumer service told me to also file a complaint on Juniper with Delaware's Attorney General's office. That letter has not gone out yet, but I will also do that. I would suggest to anyone out there to do the same thing. I will keep everyone posted in the next few weeks.

Juniper is shfty and a possible legislative inqury would do them good!
Their service charges post ten days before your statement due date--figure that one out!
Their online dashboard does not show the same data as their statemetns. When I pointed that out, I was told to contact the HQ! --you know what that means, you're right but we can't be wrong.
Stay away, stay away, stay away from Juniper!
